A preparatory drawing for the curtain of Teatro Ar

A preparatory drawing for the curtain of Teatro Argentina in Rome by Cesare Fracassini, 1860.

The drawing is conserved at the Museo del Teatro Argentina in Rome. The paper support is lined with canvas and mounted on a wooden structural framework protected in a frame. It has been heavily restored probably around 1970.

Under the supervision of @sovrintendenza the conservation involved the opening of the frame, the dusting of the work, the infill and in-painting of several losses. The frame has been then modified by @pierluigiferrocornici with a spacer and a new acrylic glazing 99% filtered against UV light.
